Pope looks great :)

Pope Benedict at the age of 80 is in far better shape than Pope John Paul was at the age of 70 (which is not meant as a criticism of the latter, who was severely weakened after coming within an inch of martyrdom in 1981).

My money is on Pope Benedict being a "12-encyclical pontiff."

I think B16's German constitution is as tough as JP2's Polish one was. Had the latter not been shot and not had Parkinson's Disease, he would have beat P9's and even St. Peter's record for longevity. BOTH popes are blessings from God, each in their own way and temperment. In one way, JP2 was more like Saint Paul and B16 more like Saint Peter vis-a-vis their style so to speak.
